Congratulations Boys

So proud of the boys
Tryouts were last weekend.

Both boys are super excited to be playing another year of Travel Hockey.
How many more sticks can end up in our garage?

So fun to see them together.

So proud of Seth and his hard work - He took about 1 1/2 off so that we could get the asthma under control.  Now he is back.

The think that surprises me about Garrett's list is the name of his group - 16U - really?? 16U My child is going into high school and playing 16U - I use to think those young men looked huge at the 16U level.  My child is huge but still amazes me.  We have gone from
Mite
Squirt
PeeWee
Bantam
Midgets - 16U
Lots of years of hockey.

Happy 18th Anniversary

We celebrated our 18th Anniversary on May 20.

We enjoyed just a fun few hours eating, chatting and coffee.

We continue to do our date night fun.  This time the envelope held
We Marriage
The date was based on the Wii.
We love the ideas that this website gives for dates.  The questions give you
things to talk about like you did when you were first dating.  We really enjoyed these
questions.

You must choose one from each “Would You Rather?”
The player with the We Marriage™ Meal Controller drives to the restaurant without telling the other player where they are going.
On the drive, the player with the We Marriage™ Remote Control reads the questions on the following page.
Would you Rather?
Be as BIG as King Kong?
Be as BIG as a mouse?

Go one week WITHOUT taking a shower?
Go one week WITHOUT brushing your teeth?

Be sucked into a Pirates of the Caribbean movie?
Be sucked into a Star Wars movie?

Be born with an elephant trunk?
Be born with an giraffe neck?

Not eat sugar for a week?
Not eat meat for a week?

Always wear earmuffs?
Always wear a nose plug?

Be the sand castle?
 Be the wave?

Only be able to whisper?
 Only be able to shout?

Lots of fun with these.

We have truly realized what a Biblical Marriage looks like.  Each of us know that this marriage
things is work.  We have learned to talk and listen very well.
Looking forward to the big 20 anniversary with this guy.

Summer looks like this . . .

Ella was the first to test Noni and Paps pool for the summer

She is 6 and doing cannonballs

We have summer bowling cards.  Many more challenges with these two

I have to document this that once upon a time Mom beat both boys especially glad for the big kid.

riding on the golf cart

Someone will be missing in the back seat many times this summer.  The kids love to spend the night with friends, friends with us, staying with grandparents, off to camp or gone for the day.  The back seat of my car is usually missing someone.

Hanging at the pool and loving our sunglasses, sunscreen and swimsuits.

Snow Cones, ice cream, popsicles
the freezer is stocked

Lots of volunteering, working on projects, or being together as a family
and more rides on this coaster.

Welcome to Summer 2013

Ballet Recital 2013

This girl has the performing down pat.  She knows all about getting ready, waiting in the dressing room, putting on makeup, and who is coming to see her.

This year was a celebration of 20 years for Mrs. Bonita - Magical Memories

Ella's ballet routine was from the movie Tangled.  She doesn't get nervous one bit.

Her modern routine was from the Lion King - Just Can't Wait to be King

In this picture she is the last one.

First year of ballet
to
Now

Still the same sweet little face just missing a few teeth

Her spirit just dances.  The music comes on and she begins to spin, twirl, twist, and move.
May the dance always be in your heart.

The family that always come to support here.
Love them dearly.

Time for the Lake

We headed to the lake for the first official summer fun to begin.

The lake has a beach area with sand, chairs, and water.

The water felt a little cold still so the kids enjoyed the sand.

As the kids were playing I noticed how they seemed to look like doorsteps.  I lined them up.
Very close

Since mom makes us line up for pictures, they requested a silly picture.  This really
shows their personalities.  ha

My kids begin to remember from one summer to the next all the little tricks they do.  The boys remembered throwing Ella into the pool this way.  One grabs the hands - one grabs the feet
As you can tell the stronger boys has the feet - which end of Ella would be heavier?

Seth has the heavier end which ended up looking like this when they throw her . . . . .

. .. . .Which ended up with Ella coming to the surface SCREAMING.  From the picture you can see how she landed in water that was too shallow.  She scraped her shoulder, could hardly move it, swelling on top of shoulder, scraped her eye and ended up with a black eye because she had on goggle which pushed against her eye when she landed on it.

YIKES

This is what summer does to Ella - she plays so hard
she stills looks little in this picture
