Try, try again

Not really sure the real name for this toy.  Ella has been determined to jump this rope thing.

She has been very frustrated the past few weeks because her legs would not cooperate.

Well, Saturday was the day.  She has been jumping nonstop since then.

Way to go Ella

Learning takes time
You must try, try again
Practice makes perfect.

Kid Fun

Ella decides each day to fix her blankie, Georgie, and eye cover.
This is what I saw when I went in her room.

Enjoying the warm sunny spring.

The boys ride and the girl reads.

Cooper River Bridge 10K 2013

We decided to run the Cooper River Bridge for the 3rd time.

We were able to sneak away a couple of Saturdays for our long runs together.

This is one of those Saturdays where we ventured out to Wingate University to run 5 miles.

Onto Charleston
We were in our car crossing over the Cooper River Bridge.

Earlier in the day, we enjoyed The Citadel Parade and a Citadel baseball game.

On Saturday, we had a beautiful day to run.

After the race

"Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us."  Hebrews 12.1

"Do you not know that in a race all runners run, but only one receives the prize?  So run that you may obtain it."  1 Corinthians 9:24

Hockey and American Girl

Garrett loves to volunteer during the Try Hockey for A Day.  Many little ones who are interested in the game come out.  The rink provides, sticks, helmets and skates.  The ice is open with cones and goals.  Garrett loves to share his passion of the game with others.

This mom loves to see him interact, talk and show his kindness with little ones.

After heading home for 1 hour, Ella and I headed back to the ice rink with her American Girl Doll.
The rink was sponsoring an  American Girl Doll Party.

She won a door prize for her doll.  A pair of ice skates.  This is Ella and her doll with skates.

She enjoyed bringing her doll with her.

Easter 2013

I only had two at my table this year dying Easter Eggs.  Our house looked pretty empty without decoration. Since our house is on the market, I had to leave the decorations upstairs.

The eggs were a nice touch.

My girl in her robe and pjs.

Our Sunday Easter outfits.

After church, we headed to the lake to eat lunch together.
I thought this was the funniest picture.
Ella all smiles, the boys serious.
They were all crammed on the back joyfully riding along as papa drove.

Home on the Range

We are so thankful we have family that has horses.  Ella always wants to ride the horses.

So we decide the first warm, sunny day of spring break, we would go and ride horses.

On the way to Bar L Arena, Ella said, "I forgot how to drive the horse".  ha.

Shortly after we arrived, Lori and Ella got everything ready.

Chance was so sweet to ride beside of Ella.  Her horse basically went wherever Chance's horse went.

After a long day of riding the horse, this was my cowgirl on the way home.

Thanks, Lori and Cooper.
