Donating Her Hair

Ella donated 9 inches of hair on Wednesday.  We have been growing her hair since she was little.

She finally decided to cut her hair.  She was tired of drying her hair, wearing ponytails, and combing the tangles out.  So the deal was to wait until the ballet recital was over (since she had to have a bun) to get her hair cut.

 BEFORE

 AFTER

I was almost in tears when Mrs. Becky cut the ponytail.  She looked so grown up.  Ella grinned the entire hair cut.  She loves the way it feels.  She rubs it and tucks her hair behind her ear.

Yesterday, we made our way to the post office for the mailing of her donation.

Sweetness.  Writing her name on the return address.

We were worried about her reaction after she had that much hair cut off but she has grinned and grinned.  What a sweet, precious thing to do for some boy or girl.  This was really easy for us to explain to Ella since we have walked through Joshua and his battle.

Little people can do big and mighty things.
Prayers are lifted up for those children who are sick and fighting the battle.
