Queen City Tournament

Garrett has a hockey tournament this week.  We have 2 games each day.  Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday is the Champonship Game (if we qualify).  I love the travel uniforms.  They look so good.  This is Garrett in the middle of the picture.  He plays defense.  The #20 player is a girl.  Garrett loves playing with Paige.  She is an incredible player.  He knows she pulls her weigh and he can trust her to defend the other side.  Also, if he misses or makes a mistake, Paige is there to cover.  They read and play off each other very well.

This is what a hockey sister does during a game.  Yesterday, Joey and Amy (his Sunday School teachers) and Anna, Sarah and Madison came to watch his game.  (Amy you will have to share this with Madison).  Garrett loves sharing his sport with others.  He enjoys it so much when others come to see him play.  He has asked me a million times if I sent the game times to Mr. Joey.

We are still amazed at how tall Garrett looks and is on the ice.  You can see him compared to the other player #22.  But as much as we think he is tall.  Yesterday both teams has at least one player that was the same size as Garrett.  He is not the only odd ball.

Well, two more games today.  My new camera works great.  I took these pictures from the stands.  Garrett was on the opposite end of the ice.  I just love taking pictures.

Snow Day

1st snow for this winter.  Weather people were predicting snow on Christmas.  It did start snowing on Christmas Day but the day after was when we got to enjoy the snow.

Sweetness - There is nothing sweeter than seeing a daddy and his daughter.  This is one little girl who LOVES her daddy.

Happy 1st snow.  We had fun together. 

As I type this, we still have snow on the grass and our house.  Day 3 and it is still around.

We start a 3 day hockey tournament today with Garrett's team.  Thank goodness we are on home ice.  That means we don't have to travel and we sleep in our own beds.  Love it.

Merry Christmas Eve

It was very nice this year.  Since Christmas fell on Saturday, mom and Jeff both had Friday off.  We were able to start early on Friday.  We usually eat supper at mom and dad's but we were able to eat breakfast.  Meme broke all the rules since it was Christmas.  Chocolate Sweet 16 donuts and Chocolate milk - Yumo!! The children were so excited.

Ella is actually eating breakfast.  She usually doesn't eat until 10:00

This is mom's treee- I love it - The purple and pink are so pretty - Ella just loves it.  Mom wraps each person's presents in different type paper so she doesn't have to do nametags.  Each grandchild knows which pile is theirs. 

The big boys eating breakfast.  Mom did fix bacon, sausage balls, grits and pancakes for the big people.  Really sausage balls are Jeff's favorite.  Pancakes are Garrett's favorite.  Grits are my favorite.  It was so yummy.  What a way to start the day.

Garrett reading his note that came with his ipod.  He has really taken over my ipod.  He said several times before Christmas that if he got a new one, he would just give me his new one and keep mine since he had everything set up on mine.  So mom put a note in his box that said he had to give me his new one.  When he saw this one had a camera, all deals were off.  It was just for fun.

More Christmas to come - I got a new camera from mom and dad for Christmas.  All of the Christmas pictures are on the new camera.  I took the new camera to Jeff's mom's for Christmas night.  I left the camera at her house.  I haven't got it back yet.  Maybe tomorrow.  More Christmas

Poor Gabby

Yes we even have a dog that has allergies.  She is allergic to her vaccinations.  We knew this from when she was a pup.  Well everytime she goes for shots, they give her Benedryl as well. 

On Friday, we went for shots.  Gave her Benedryl.  "She will sleep most of the afternoon" they said.  Well around 4:30, I looked at her.  Swollen eyes, mussle swollen, and hives.  Yikes.  I call the vet - give her two more Benedryl 50 mg.  Okay.

Jeff stops for Benedryl.  Yeah! - 3hours later.  redness, swelling, and hives are back.

Call the vet - 10:30 pm - you must call the emergency vet - okay we call - I think she will need a steriod shot.  So off Jeff leaves at 10:30 and returns around 12:00 midnight.  A shot, 4 pills, and it may take 3 days to clear up.

Poor Gaddy - She is all better now.  Each time she has a vaccination the allergic reaction is getting worse.  Really!  Our children and now our dog.

Haha!  what fun our life brings.

Happy 9th Birthday Seth!

What a way to end 2001 - a new baby.  We were expected Jan. 3 but someone else had a different plan.  Born December 20, 2001 came home from the hospital December 23, 2001.

Wow!  What a whirlwind of a Christmas.

Seth thinks that having a Christmas birthday is not so bad.  He was beaming from ear to ear all day.

What can I say about a precious little boy - This little guy has the biggest heart.  He is such a mommy's boy.  He loves to be at home.  An incredible teammate.  Loves to make people happy.  Will help any time.

Loves to have things in order.  Wants toys to stay new.  Very neat.  Loves clothes. Very smart.  Likes things to be neat.  Goes 100 miles an hour.  Always gives his best at anything he does.  Enjoys being at home.  Loves gadgets.  Loves hanging out with friends.  Has a love for doing the right thing.  Loves church and learning more about God.
