Flying high

Today was fun.  We were flyiing high with some great kites The Byrum's gave our boys for Christmas.  Seth tried a couple of days ago to fly but the wind wasn't strong enough.  So today was the day.

How many times did I do this?  The wind was great for awhile then it would die away or just change directions.

The kite did this many times.  Upside down

This is Garrett's kite.  It flew great.  It is a transformer that is as tall as Seth.

Seth took over the job of catching the kite and getting it into the air again.  It was freezing cold outside.  We did this for about 1 hour and a half.  Cold.  I have never worn a coat and gloves to fly kites.
I love when my boys can work together.  It was fun to see the look on their faces as Seth would toss it up and Garrett would pull the string and off the kite would go into the sky.

Seth had a Scout meeting tonight.  He is a Wolf Cub.  This is his second year.  He loves it.  He sold enough popcorn to earn a prize.  A new knife.  He was so excited.  By the way, Boy Scout popcorn is great.  It pops so well.
