What is it these days?

Not sure what is going on but everything seems to be deciding to stop working.  Two weeks ago, I went to iron church clothes.  My iron would not come heat up.  So off to Target to buy a new one.  Our house does a lot of ironing.

So onto the next thing.  Tuesday before leaving for ballet, I dumped everything for Cowboy Stew into the crock pot.  We were gone for a couple of hours.  When we got home, I thought I would check on the soup.  As we entered the door, I couldn't smell anything at all.  Usually when you use the crockpot to cook something, your entire house begin to smell yummy.  NOTHING was happening.  I touched the crock pot - NOTHING - still cold.  Well, maybe it was the outlet.  I changed outlets.  NOTHING.  The crock pot of, I guess 15 years, decided it had done its job.

Trying it out for supper - Chicken and Dumplins are cooking - The house smells great.

First day of training for the 10k - 12 weeks out
What am I thinking???
Hard work
My devotion scriptures from last week
"Do you not know that your body is a sanctuary of the Holy Spirit who is in you" 1 Corinthians 6:19

Paul tells Timothy, "For physical training is of some value" 1 Tim 4:8

"Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize?  Run in such a way as to get the prize. (for me the prize is to finish in under an hour)
Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training (started today).  They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever (an accomplishment that no one can take away from me).
Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air.
No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize." 1 Cor 9:24-27

Keep on  - Keeping on
The following scripture is going on my mirror
Setting my eyes on God
