Mondays

I used to not like Mondays but now I do.  Mondays are a day for us to stay at home with no where to go.  We are able to complete all of our school work.  I have time to do devotion, laundry, run/walk, enjoy my children and see them playing.  Ella gets to take a nap without being rushed around.  I can cook supper, like a real supper.  We can just enjoy our day.

Today started our Colossians 3:12-14.  "Heart time"  We made bigs hearts and little hearts.  There are hearts all over our house.

This is the door that leads to the garage and the door that leads to Garrett's room upstairs.

These are on the pantry door.  The traits that Paul reminds us to have.  More hearts.

Hearts on the toy cabinet and the front door.  The hearts all over the house are supposed to remind us of the traits we are focusing on this month leading up to Valentine's Day.  The big hearts are for each of the boys to write the act when they were exhibiting the trait.  We will see how full the big hearts get this week.

We will see how this works.  As I was doing my devotion this morning, the Colossians passage was what I read.  The "Heart Time" was not planned by me but by God.  He knew that I have called out to Him to help with some solutions to the sibling fusses and fights we have been having for some time.  This was revealed to me within 10 minutes after I read the passage.  I am not sure that Paul may have used it in this way but God is using it this way for The Weddine's.

This picture does not show the splendor that was out our kitchen window tonight as the sun was going down.  The sunrise is just amazing to me.  I rarely see the sunrise since we are not out and about in the mornings going to school but I do see sunsets.  What a Creator and Designer!

Lastly for today,  Ella was helping me cook dumplins.

Crazy girl, eyes closed as she is saying "Cheese".  My camera battery was dying so I didn't try another picture.  Off to buy batteries tomorrow.  Blogging requires a camera.  Batteries need to be on hand at all times.  Lesson learned.
