Weekend Happenings

We are heading to the Checkers game.  Each player received 2 tickets to the first home game of the AHL Charlotte Checkers.  The team is one tier under the NHL. They also are the affliate of the Carolina Hurricanes.  The level of play jumped about 4 notches.

We are on the Lynx train riding to uptown.

We got off the train at the arena.  Walked a couple of blocks.  We ate at FUEL pizza.  Yummy.

After this home, bed and back to the ice rink by 9:30 until 12:20 for practice for both boys.

The Fun Comes to an End

Saturday had arrived.  It was time to pack up.  Home was the destination.

As Jeff was settling things, I took Seth and Ella to the pool at the hotel.

Last time out the door.  Each day we would pause and take a picture at the door.  Everyone is all smiles.  What a great family.

Day 6 - Typhoon Lagoon

 After half a day at the water park, changed clothes and off to Disney Quest - A boys heaven - 5 floors of free video games - all you do is play

The boys loved this.  I think they could have stayed all night.  Mom had enough after 2 1/2 hours of nonstop noise.  AHHHHH!

Day 5 - Hollywood Studios

 Hollywood Studios is all about the movies.  Many things here are shows.  It is very hard to coordinate all the times of the shows.  We started with the Voyage of the Little Mermaid.  Then over the Playhouse Disney

 The Green Army men were everywhere.  We were beside the new Toy Story Mania ride.

The wait was 90 minutes all day.  We were lucky to get our Fast Passes.  We got our fast passes as 10:30 for a 6:20 ride.  By 12:00 all the fast passes were gone.

This was our stunt show for the day.  We missed the Car stunt show due to timing. 

This is what we looked like everyday.  A stop for lunch.  By Wednesday, Garrett said "Let me guess what is for lunch"  We ate sandwiches in the park everyday.

After lunch around 3:00, we left the park and headed back to the hotel.  We made tie-dyed shirts.  Also all the fast passes we had were for 7:00 or so.

Pretty popular place

This was in the Toy Story ride.  The picture to the right-we have laughed and laughed.  Ella saw this sign on Soarin at Epcot.  She read the sign.  Hold hands and no dancing.  She thinks the sign on the right says no dancing.  Every ride after, she would remind the boys "No dancing" it says.  The joy of seeing the world through 4 year old eyes.

Rockin' Rollercoaster.  Our fast passes were 8:10 at night.  Again - all the fast passes were gone by 3 or so.  The line for waiting was 90 minutes.  Crazy - we love the ride switch pass.  I rode with the boys then Jeff was able to ride with the boys right after that.  It took us about 40 minutes or so for two rides.

We had AAA parking all week.  It puts us pretty close and we always walked into the park.  The last night, the last park, we rode the tram to the parking lot.  This is another thing I remember about Disney as a little girl.
